Dr. Robert Ambrose
Conductor Robert J. Ambrose enjoys a highly successful and diverse career as a dynamic and engaging musician. His musical interests cross many genres and can be seen in the wide range of professional activities he pursues. Dr. Ambrose studied formally at Boston College, Boston University and Northwestern University, where he received the Doctor of Music degree in conducting. Dr. Ambrose currently serves as Director of Bands and Professor of Music at Georgia State University a research institution of over 53,000 students located in Atlanta.
Dr. Ambrose is in constant demand as a guest conductor and has performed on four continents. In 2016, Dr. Ambrose was invited to spend ten days on tour as a guest conductor with the United States Army Field Band. This engagement led to the formation of the National Chamber Winds, a professional wind dectet based in Washington, D.C. for which he is Founder and Music Director. Ambrose is also the Music Director of the Atlanta Chamber Winds and Ensemble ATL, ensembles comprising musicians from the Atlanta Symphony, Atlanta Opera, and Atlanta Ballet Orchestras.
Dr. Ambrose has strong ties to the Finnish music community. He is frequently engaged in that country as a guest conductor, teacher, master clinician, and lecturer. Ambrose is a prolific arranger with nearly two dozen publications to his credit. His transcriptions appear on several state lists and have been performed around the world.

Jolene Wong
Jolene Wong, a native of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, holds a Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Education, and a Master in Education with a focus in Secondary Music from the University of Alberta. She also holds a Post Master Artist Certificate in Wind Band Conducting from Georgia State University under the direction of Dr. Robert J. Ambrose.
Jolene enjoys a very successful teaching career with Edmonton Catholic Schools, having taught middle and high school, where programs under her direction have seen substantial growth and won numerous awards. She was also appointed Curriculum Consultant in the area of secondary music, a role in which she served for three years. She was also selected to be the conductor of the Southern Alberta Junior Honour Band in 2026.
Jolene is currently the director of the Edmonton Catholic Schools Junior All City Band and is proud to be the founder and artistic director of the Wild Rose Wind Ensemble, a group dedicated to serve the young musicians of Edmonton. She has been fortunate to be involved in many workshops, clinics, masterclasses, and professional development activities all over the world under notable teachers including Jerry Junkin, Mallory Thompson, Gary Hill and Dale Lonis.

Dr. Angela Schroeder
Dr. Angela Schroeder is a Professor of Music at the University of Alberta where she is the Director of Bands, the Director of Undergraduate Programs and Conductor of the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Summer Band. Recipient of numerous teaching awards, she teaches courses in instrumental conducting and music education. Angela also conducts the St. Albert Community Band. She led the ensemble on their first European tour of Germany and Austria in July 2015. Angela completed her undergraduate studies in Music Education with performance studies in piano and trumpet at the University of Calgary. She received her Master of Music in Conducting from Northwestern University and her Doctor of Musical Arts in Wind Band Conducting from the University of North Texas. Angela has presented, guest conducted and adjudicated numerous school bands in festivals and clinics throughout the world.
